72. And that being the only thing I did in the past 2 years remotely close to blogging..

I recently came across a free offer from Vistaprint to get name cards. Though skeptical about this tempting offer, I went ahead with ordering 250 of them. Had to tread through innumerable pop-up menus offering added offers at ‘low’ cost before I finally got to the shipping page, when I realized the catch –I had to pay for the shipping. But I guess 250 of these pretty cards was worth paying 7$ for the shipment. I just love the design

But I wonder what to do with them now

41. A Tribute to BLAH!

-->
Do you know what tops the list of the world's ten most overrated things? Do you know what’s the world’s longest book/novel(which apparently contains the world’s longest word, sentence, poem and drama!Woah!!!)? Do you know the next gen name for ‘BLOG’, which is likely to replace the term ‘BLOG’ in the near future? Do you know, what is the most searched topic for a book, in the Amazon.com?
.....Well….It’s all Blah! Won’t believe me? There you go!(click the link)

PS: Lachoo, that was an appetizing treat to me! Would make up for your never-ending leg-pulling

37. Thus far...This way...

Nearly half a month into the new-year…hmm…and so far, it has been not all that bad. Classes haven’t really started in full swing yet, and assignments haven’t started piling up.(Thanks to the Muharam holiday which came on the right day, we saved ourselves from a drawing class + submission of 3 drawings next week. )Have been running around for a mini-project topic past two weeks; and voila, our project guide came up with this really nice project on ‘Liquefaction’(er… I dun have much idea about it as of now, but atleast those who know, testify that it’s a really ‘stud’ topic) Great weekend coming up ahead –a two-day class trip to Idukki(dam),Thekkadi and Athirapalli!yay!

And there was a pleasant surprise for me in the blogosphere as well! I have been awarded as the best blogger of the year by the CEO of the blospot… Okay, I know, that went a li’l overboard. But seriously, I did get something of the sort…I got a ‘200% awesome blogger’ credit…all thanks to Nikhil(MM) who seems to have been on an awarding spree right at the beginging of the year(superb way to start the year MM, …thanks a ton…)….

Anyways dunno whether it was due to this, or out of no reason at all, I’m in this writing mood these days. Boring classes are becoming my blogging classes now.…Hopefully I'll be able to blog more frequently(fingers crossed!) So thanks again MM…and apologies for taking this long to come up with this post(you know my close alliance with laziness…I am infact surprised that you didn’t give me the lazy blogger award instead )

32. Tah Dah!

Yeah! Finally after days of contemplation, and battling against acute laziness, my blog decided to shed its maiden skin!:D

Though it has been quite sometime since the “to do or not to do” process began, the peer pressure(from fella bloggers) was so immense that I finally decided to do it!(It would be improper at this juncture, if I fail to mention multimenon who used to yammer away about the “dull-mundane-out-dated” template of my blog, every now and then, as though he had absolutely nothing else to talk :P)

For those of you who were aware of the fact that I had attended a course on photoshop during the vacations and are nodding approvingly thinking that it had done me good, well hold on…for I never had any role in the creation of this new template:P
All I did was coax Leela(a photohsop whiz) well enough, until finally she gave in and sent me the template as a belated B’day gift:D…Talking about Leela, she is this friend of mine, who I like so much for the ways in which she makes me feel a lot heavier(:P)Though she looks like a 13 yr old kid, her writing skills have made some people wonder whether she’s a 30 yr old litt grad!Yeah that’s enough of publicity for her I guess;)

And talking about birthdays, my ‘big’ day was on 12th August, so if anybody else feels like sending me similar B’day gifts, do send ’em ASAP before 1 more candle gets added to my B’Day cake;)

16. Belated happy B’day dear blog :D

Damn it! Blame it all on the darned end sems! I forgot my blog’s very first B’Day. Argh! The B(log)day happened to fall on the same day that my exams got over, which also happened to be the day I started my value education project which was to be due on the next day. In that hungama I didn’t even get time to think about my blog, let alone remember that it was it’s B’day :(

Hmm..looking back, it was Devil who persuaded me to start blogging. And guess what? Persuasion did succeed and my Blah Blah Blah was conceived and took birth almost at the same time. Being the lazy blogger that I am, I have blogged now and then, about this and that…

I looked back to the early days when I joined college and was reminded about God’s wonderful provision. I reflected that “He has made everything beautiful in its time”.
During my 2nd sem, I got a chance to fly to Dubai. But what awaited me there made me wonder whether the movie The Terminal was being re-enacted right before me and that I had somehow  donned the role of Tom Hanks!!

The lovers’ month however subtle and romantic it maybe for lovers, to crazy and me, it turned out to be A Valentine's Day Commedy of errors.......I grew up and I learned to take Nite-outs!!!Yay! I’m a big college girl now 8)

Then came a period of lul in which no matter how much I tried, I just couldn’t write!! As I investigated further into the matter, I found out that my muse had run away and I wasn’t able to blog anymore until one fine day when finally, my Muse decided to Return!

The Gud ol’PC classes came back to my mind, and I realized how much I missed them(don’t fail to notice the irony intended ;)...Then I thought of sharing with you, some tips On mopping the floor-out of first hand experience from yours truly ;)

Though I had come a long way in life, I still hadn't learned a certain few things…
The Game continued, and I got tagged for the first time, which I took out of sheer joblessness…Then came a period of life in which I began to wonder ‘Am I invisible or what’???

I jotted down some Musings on the new-year eve, to bid adieu to the year that was ebbing away. Days flew by and I grew more mature; I understood that it’s important to Learn to say 'NO'....to many things in life.

The FranaB Series, became the first of my serious series writing (Still haven’t updated it though :P)I couldn’t help writing about Ragam '08, which gave us a break from the hectic, mundane and not to mention boring academics.

I started thinking about the opposite sex, and noted down certain of my observations as to what a girl can do, All for a guy?!!..for which my comment box puffed up to a whooping 36(and still counting)..All thanks to my darling roomy, who’s still oblivious of the existence of such a post describing her antics…

I wanted to spruce up my blog’s appearance and I managed to put some widgets-the clock being the very first one. I made sure that each post of mine has a related picture in it. Google Image search has never let me down thus far. The photos on the left hand side of the blog are those taken by yours truly with her trusted k750i:) My fella bloggers and my blog readers and my commentators just keeps on increasing day by day!! Boy am I so glad to know that :D

Guess what’s gone by was a pretty small, but eventful year for my blog! Wishing my blog many happy years to come…:)

PS to Devil:your post wasnt copy-righted right?:P

15. My blog's elementary school level :|

A short while ago,I happened to come across this blog-readability site.It apparently shows what level of education is needed to read ones blog. And it turned out that my blah blahs doesn’t need much education to be read…well am not sure whether I’m supposed to be happy or sad about this…Anyways nice to know that mine is a cosmopolitan blog –free from local, provincial, or national ideas, prejudices, or attachments; at home all over the world...blah..blah..(yea I visited dictionary.com ;) ) In short my bloggy seems to cater to all people, without making any discrimination between people based on their educational level.gee!…:D

blog readability test

Guess you too can try this out…I’ve come across blogs which are classified as junior high school level ,graduation level and even brainy level…Sheesh! What can I say??selfish people!:P

5. The Muse Returns!

Seconds pass by, minutes pass by, hours pass by, days pass by, weeks pass by, a month too passes by…WHAT!!! It has been that long?? And still no sign of him? Where the heck is he? How can I miss him for this long? How can he be such a ditcher? My friends have already started asking…what’s happening to you ? Why? Its really sad...how can I answer them all?? Can I tell them the truth? Survival without him is a matter of question…dying without him…dying…almost dead… my blog’s dying… O Muse! where art thou??

The state of a blogger who has nearly run out of ideas is a really miserable one. Cant express it in words. A large number of cases have been recently reported in quite a number of blogs(http://www.iamthereforeithinkalot.blogspot.com/) With the number of blogs in the net increasing progressively day by day,and thereby the Muse being kept busy, the matter is feared to go out of control. Timely action needs to be taken before this plague claims more lives. So here are some quick facts for you.
Scientific name: looso musia syndrome
Most vulnerable ones: those bloggers, writers, chatters and scrappers who being temporarily jobless and have found some solace blogging and whose creative juices have either dried up in the summer heat or have got dissolved in the monsoon rains.
Symptoms: sudden mood-shifts which may result in sudden variation of facial expressions; often getting lost in thought; often seen scratching the head or scribbling on pieces of paper, or for the more advanced techies.. staring at the blank screen of the MS Word at length; an increase in the number of blog-hopping he/she makes in an attempt to get some ideas and so on…
Remedy: Wait for the return of the Muse or blog at your own blog’s stake… no other cure known till date.
Sensing that I am slowly becoming a victim to this deadly disease, I suddenly got into action. Tried out ‘n’ number of things which proved to be of no avail. Finally I decided to try out in the old ‘Mayavi’ style…Om krim Museee… Om krim Museee…
(well this piece of crap is inserted as a result of a certain friend who keeps chanting this often…so much so that I penned it down)Anyway….the Muse senses one of its blogger in trouble(that's me!) and Voila!the Muse returns…and after 1 month 3 weeks 3 days 2 hours
and 15 minutes ..here I go blogging again…somebody stop me!!!
